Beat Detection Using Plp

چکیده
We report here about our submission to both the Beat Tracking and the Tempo Estimation tasks for the MIREX 2010 evaluations. Our submission consists of an adaptation of the technique presented at ISMIR 2009 by Peter Grosche and Meinard Müller [1]. Assuming that most of the music the system is going to deal with will belong to pop-rock genres, we further add some post-processing techniques in which the tempo is considered to be relatively steady along the song.

Fusion for Audio-Visual Laughter Detection
Laughter is a highly variable signal, and can express a spectrum of emotions. This makes the automatic detection of laughter a challenging but interesting task. We perform automatic laughter detection using audio-visual data from the AMI Meeting Corpus. Audio-visual laughter detection is performed by combining (fusing) the results of a separate audio and video classifier on the decision level. ...
متن کاملPreparation of MS2 Phage-Like Particles and Their Use As Potential Process Control Viruses for Detection and Quantification of Enteric RNA Viruses in Different Matrices
The detection and quantification of enteric RNA viruses is based on isolation of viral RNA from the sample followed by quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR). To control the whole process of analysis and in order to guarantee the validity and reliability of results, process control viruses (PCV) are used. The present article describes the process of preparation a...
متن کاملHuman brain pyridoxal-5'-phosphate phosphatase: production and characterization of monoclonal antibodies.
We cloned and expressed human pyridoxal-5\'-phosphate (PLP) phosphatase, the coenzymatically active form of vitamin B6, in Escherichia coli using pET15b vector. Monoclonal antibodies (mAb) were generated against purified human brain PLP phosphatase in mice, and four antibodies recognizing different epitopes were obtained, one of which inhibited PLP phosphatase. The binding affinities of these f...
متن کاملRobustness of Phoneme Classification Using Support Vector Machines: a Comparison between Plp and Acoustic Waveform Representations
Robustness of phoneme recognition to additive noise is investigated for PLP and acoustic waveform representations of speech using support vector machines (SVMs) combined via error-correcting code methods. While recognition in the PLP domain attains superb accuracy on clean data, it is significantly affected by mismatch between training and testing noise levels. The classification in the high-di...
متن کاملElectrocardiogram beat detection enhancement using independent component analysis.
Beat detection is a basic and fundamental step in electrocardiogram (ECG) processing. In many ECG applications strong artifacts from biological or technical sources could appear and cause distortion of ECG signals. Beat detection algorithm desired property is to avoid these distortions and detect beats in any situation. Our developed method is an extension of Christov's beat detection algorithm...
